I work with individuals, couples, and families including children. I offer a relational approach which creates an emotionally safe, non-judgmental place for my clients to share the content of their stories, circumstances, and life experiences. I have worked with a wide range of clients within the realms of cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and relational issues, however at the root of nearly all presenting problems is the emotional impact of a dissatisfying relationship. My specialty in relationships has therefore enabled me to work confidently, and effectively with my clients regardless of their identified issue.

While specializing in relationships, I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Attachment Theory, and Relationally Integrative therapy. The latter draws from Cognitive Behavioral, Psycho Dynamic, Dialectical, Solution Focused, Mindfulness, Attachment and Emotionally Focused therapeutic orientations. I love what I do and I feel honored to have been able to help hundreds of clients to experience personal healing and growth.

Reaching out for help to deal with emotional difficulties is a sign of strength.  If you are struggling with life’s challenges, frustrated with where your life is going, unhappy in your relationships, or just feel like something isn’t right, this may be the time to give therapy a try. 


I am a person who cares deeply about others. I am here to listen and respond in a kind, non-judgmental way.  Psychotherapy is conducted in a safe, confidential setting where you are free to share whatever is on your mind.  I take a bio-psycho-social approach to assessment and treatment – this means I pay attention to biological, psychological, and social factors that impact thoughts, emotions, and behaviour.  Together, we will explore what may be limiting you in life and figure out what is and isn’t working. 


My therapeutic approach is integrative.  This means I use techniques from different types of therapy to create the most appropriate and helpful intervention for each client.  My primary approach uses Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).  The basis of EFT is that emotions and bonding processes are the foundation to happiness and stability.  EFT is based on the science of attachment – secure and loving connections with others - and has been linked to almost every positive index of mental health and wellbeing including self-esteem, resilience, optimism, and confidence.  Attachments that are not secure increase our vulnerability to depression and anxiety, the two most common problems we see in therapy.  Harnessing the power of emotion is the most powerful way to promote change.
